Body pH Testing / Balancing

Our unique approach to optimum health and wellness starts with testing, improving and maintaining the body’s pH level, since the body can only properly absorb minerals, enzymes and nutrients when it has a balanced pH level.  This provides the first step in obtaining optimum health and wellness.  A proper body pH environment is fundamental to an optimally functioning metabolism (digestion).  Small deviations in this environment can have a major impact on mental clarity, health and endurance.

The pH of your body affects every aspect of your heath.  pH levels regulate, effect, and control practically everything in nature, including your body.

Your body pH is your internal balance of Acid and Alkaline.  Just like your cholesterol and blood pressure, your pH says a lot about the state of your health.  The importance of maintaining optimal body pH is demonstrated in a typical swimming pool, or a pond containing fish.  When the pH is unbalanced (typically too acidic) it clearly has a negative impact on your pool water, or the health of fish in a stagnant pond.  Imbalances in your body pH can be very apparent and result in low energy, fatigue, excess weight, poor digestion, aches and pains, and even more serious disorders.  Typical reasons for your body becoming too acidic include:

Here’s a quick lesson on pH testing and what the numbers represent, brought to you by our friends at phionbalance.com:

The pH scale goes from 0-14, where 0 is very Acidic (think battery acid) and 14 is very Alkaline (think lye).

In order to experience optimal health, the pH of your body should be slightly Alkaline – between 7.0 to 7.4.

A pH reading in the Optimal pH Zone™ tells you that your insides are happy, while a pH reading in the Acidic pH Zone™ or Very Acidic pH Zone™ may mean your putting yourself at risk for serious disorders.  Even a slight pH imbalance can make you feel tired, because your body starts to struggle digesting foods, your weight increases and aches start creeping up.

pH does not work like regular numbers do, where 6.0 is “one point less” than 7.0.  It works logarithmically, just like the Richter Scale for earthquakes.  For example, someone with a pH of 6.0 is ten times (10x) more acidic than someone with a pH of 7.0.  Someone with a pH of 5.0 is 100 times (100x) more Acidic than someone with a pH of 7.0.
